By default, our plastic mailing bags need to be polythene. This makes them durable and waterproof. However, Elliott Packaging do offer a number of environmentally friendly plastic mailing bags with optional printing;
Recyclable – All of our mailing bags can be recycled in recycle banks.
Degradable – We offer mailing bags which are fully degradable.
Low Carbon Footprint – We can provide mailing bags with a low carbon footprint which are made from plant-based products. These bags are fully recyclable and are renewable.
We outsource our printing plates from trusted printing plate makers. You will need to purchase your printing plates with your first order. If your artwork is the same on future orders, you will not need to purchase these again and will speed up the process of returning printed mailing bags orders.
The manufacturing process of a printed mailing bags does not allow us to set up the machines to print just one bag. We can however send samples of our recent work. We can offer visual mock-ups online. As standard procedure, our plate makers send PDF printing proofs which show, colours sizes and positioning. These proofs need to be signed off before we proceed to make any mailing bags products
Elliott Packaging can also offer a ‘cromalin’ a cromalin is a print off of your PDF proof on film which will give you a very good vision of the finished product.
If you want to change your artwork you will need new printing plates. If it’s a small change to the design such as an address, we may be able to change this using a ‘slug insert’.
A popular mailing bags faqs question! Pantone is a standardized colour matching system which uses a numbering system to identify colour shades. When you create your artwork, you will need to choose your pantone colours. Pantone colours can be found on the Pantone Website.
A process print is a print technique which uses 4 standard colours (CMYK) to create a full spectrum of colours. CMYK stands for cyan magenta yellow and black.
