Sainsbury’s and its dedicated Easter Egg packaging recycling facilities

Sainsbury’s has launched a scheme that will enable customers to re-cycle their Easter egg packaging in its stores.

The Sainsbury’s recycling facilities will be able to be used to recycle all Easter egg packaging and will therefore include plastic, cardboard, tin-foil and ribbon.

A Sainsbury’s spokesman is reported to have said:

“Recycling is an important part of Sainsbury’s environmental commitment which we’re taking further than ever – sending zero operational waste to landfill and putting our minds to new and engaging schemes to help even more customers and colleagues recycle.”

At Elliott Packaging we are ever conscious of the need to be environmentally aware of the potential impact of packaging. Our environmental policy can be read here
